11 year old songstress, with a voice as hard-hitting as the industry heavyweights, Kamaria Tilley is in high pursuit of her dreams. Here's a chance to know a little bit more about the young vocalist that is sure to sing her way right into your heart and onto your list of favorites.
Achickwitbeatz: So tell us, what should the world know about Kamaria Tilley?
Kamaria: I love to sing, I love how music affects people and how I can express myself through music. I love school and animals, and my favorite color is pink.
Achickwitbeatz: When did you realize you wanted music to be a part of your life?
Kamaria: When I was five years old. I just grabbed a mic and started singing. It's just been a part of me every since. It's my dream to walk the same stage as Beyonce and receive a Grammy.
Achickwitbeatz: You've had the opportunity to share the stage with some notable acts, who are some of the people you've opened for?
Kamaria: Sinbad, The Dazz Band, The Dramatics, SWV, Carl Thomas, and NFL player Greg Jennings. I love every show I do. I'm just blessed to have the opportunities.
Achickwitbeatz: What are five qualities/skills you admire about the performers who inspire you?
Kamaria: Work ethic , style , the way the artist knows how to get the crowd to participate , how an artist sings from their heart with passion in a way you can feel every note, and the motivation from an artist.
Achickwitbeatz: What would you say has been the most valuable thing you have learned since you began performing?
Kamaria: To stay motivated, make sure you get copyrights of your music and keep your faith in God, He opens all doors.
Achickwitbeatz: What do you want the world to gain from hearing your tremendous talent?
Kamaria: I want them to be inspired. I want the world to hear the gift God gave me. I want their hearts to be touched.
Achickwitbeatz: What's coming up next for Kamaria Tilley?
Kamaria: Hopefully an album. More shows and blessings. When God says it's time, a record contract.
