There's an abundance of social media platforms for independent artists to utilize. It takes a great deal of energy to create & promote music in addition to day-to-day responsibilities. This makes it understandable why so many artists tend to stick to just one or two of their favorite sites. Though social media is a great way to communicate with fans, it's not always a reliable medium. Adjustments to algorithms, account restrictions, bans, site crashes and breaches can occur at anytime, making it important to have multiple ways to be able to communicate with your supporters.
Using these additional avenues from time to time will help your supporters know where they can expect to receive updates from you. Keep multiple modes of communication open so that you can reach as many of your fans as possible.
