In this brief Q&A, DeCarlos Stewart the Owner of Voo Vodka shares valuable gems from his business perspective and tips for artists seeking sponsorships.
Achickwitbeatz: Who is DeCarlos Stewart?
DeCarlos Stewart: DeCarlos Stewart wears many hats. I'm a business, not only because I feed myself but the people that depend on me to keep my business right so I can continue to feed my community. I'm also a father, artist, author, man of God and the voice of the have nots.
Achickwitbeatz: What does Voo Vodka represent?
DeCarlos Stewart: Voo Vodka Represents the lifestyle people strive for, the lifestyle that makes you feel good for a job well done. In short, Voo Vodka is the brand that allows you to escape for a moment in time because the drinker is part of an exclusive club of trend-setters and you have just been inducted in that club when you pick up a bottle...this lets the world know that the person holding a bottle of Voo is conscious and just not another follower of what's hot.
Achickwitbeatz: What is the most valuable thing you've learned since you've launched your business?
DeCarlos Stewart: Good energy attracts good energy. Stay positive, but be aggressive in what's important to you! And never take "no" as an answer...just a temporary "yes" upside down.
Achickwitbeatz: What should artists who are seeking sponsorship from a business know?
DeCarlos Stewart: Rep the brand without expecting something in return...just continue to do what's important in your lane, we see you! Continue to make noise in your city, then reach out. In this era of social media it's not hard to see the go-getters out there.
Achickwitbeatz: What's next on the horizon for Decarlos Stewart & Voo Vodka?
DeCarlos Stewart: We have an energy drink line we just released its called "Lion King" and we have the flavored versions of Voo and the smaller sizes.
Achickwitbeatz: How can people connect with you & stay current with what you have in the works?
