Sometimes social media can seem to be a lot to take in or handle among other things going on. If you're planning to take a hiatus, there are a few things you can do to try to maintain your fan base for if and when you plan to return.
1) When Your Hiatus Will Begin
Let your fans know if you will be leaving social media at a future date or immediately so they know not to expect posts for a while.
2) Alternate Method of Contact
Let fans know if there will be another way to stay connected with you via another platform, email, etc. or if you've hired someone to manage your accounts for the time being.
3) If you have a return date in mind
Let fans know when you think you may may return. Whether the time frame is static or flexible, it'll give them an idea of when you'll be accessible to them again.
Ultimately, you can do as many or as little of these things as you like because your mental health is priority. Sharing information with fans helps them to feel more connected to you and your artistry making them more likely to look forward to your return.
