I recently was able to catch up with the incredibly busy, dynamic, multi-talented artist/entertainer Nick LaVelle. In this brief interview we get a glimpse into the insight & undeniable drive of this man everyone is sure to know in the near future.
Achickwitbeatz: Who is Nick LaVelle?
Nick LaVelle: The young Rap-Singer from Detroit, MI who has the catchy hooks and seductive looks... Lol but down to earth and cool to be around.
Achickwitbeatz: When did you discover that you needed music to be a part of your life?
Nick LaVelle: When I figured out I could actually make good songs. I didn't want to let it go to waste. Plus I was in my senior year at Western Michigan University & I already had a small platform from party promoting. So I felt I could use my knowledge i retain pursuing my marketing degree to market myself better.
Achickwitbeatz: What's the most valuable thing you've learned since you became an artist?
Nick LaVelle: My creativity and ideas how I come up with a flow, song, video treatment. Its like something took over me.
Achickwitbeatz: What are 5 attributes/skills that would place an artist on your top 10 list?
Nick LaVelle: Creativity, flow, versatility, the ability to be effective outside the lines of music, & overall KNOWLEDGE.
Achickwitbeatz: Conversely, what are 5 attributes that would place an artist at the very bottom of your list?
Nick LaVelle: Lack of knowledge, arrogance (overly confident), no direction, ignorance, corny.
Achickwitbeatz: What's next on the horizon for Nick LaVelle?
Nick LaVelle: The next move Nick LaVelle is making is Los Angeles CA. I'll be teaming up with some dope producers & writers to further solidify my sound... Also will be working on my next project out there... I will be exploring more opportunities within acting, modeling & dancing to continue my growth within this entertainment business.
