Lansing, Michigan – The first headliner is here for the 2018 Common Ground Music Festival. Sunday, July 8th will feature headlining rapper Gucci Mane.

A pioneer in Trap Music, Gucci Mane had an explosive 2017 with the release of Droptopwop, a collaborative mixtape with Metro Boomin; Mr. Davis, his eleventh studio album featuring single “I Get the Bag” featuring Migos which peaked at #11 on Billboard Hot 100; and El Gato: The Human Glacier; his twelfth studio album. 2018 can expect to see more Gucci Mane, with the upcoming release of his thirteenth studio album The Evil Genius. 

Joining Gucci Mane on Sunday is rapper Kevin Gates. Gates released his debut studio album, Islah, in January 2016 and it peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured singles "Kno One", "Time for That", "Really Really" and "2 Phones". Prior to Islah, Gates also released numerous mixtapes including Stranger Than Fiction, By Any Means, and Luca Brasi 2, all of which peaked in the top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Sunday, July 8th will also feature singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer T-Pain; producer, DJ, actor and comedian DJ Jazzy Jeff; and hip-hop newcomer and Chicago native Supa Bwe.

Single Day Tickets for Sunday, July 8th go on-sale to the public on Friday, February 9th at 10:00 AM. Tickets can be purchased online at www.commongroundfest.com.
