Doritos Teams Up with Busta Rhymes for the "Blaze the Beat" Competition

The contest provides an opportunity for aspiring Hip Hop artists to record a 60 second or less video of themselves freestyling over "The Blaze Beat" for a chance to perform in Las Vegas and win $50,000.  Submissions close August 17th. Firefly Founders Sell Music Festival to Company that Runs Coachella, AEG Presents

Red Frog Events launched the Firefly Music Festival in 2012 and entered into partnership with AEG Presents in 2014.  Wednesday, AEG Presents announced it has acquired full ownership.  Some of the primary members of the team that managed the Firefly Music Festival will join AEG Presents to continue to oversee the event.  Alicia Karlin (VP & Senior Event Coordinator of AEG Presents partner Madison House Presents) is the new talent buyer for Firefly Music Festival.

Yasiin Bey Partners with Ad Exec Set Free Richardson to Open a Hip Hop & Fine Art Gallery in the South Bronx

Spotify Debuts New Feature in Beta That Allows Artists, Labels & Managers to Directly Submit Music for Playlist Consideration

Artists and managers are able to submit to playlists from the Spotify for Artists platform & labels are able to submit through Spotify Analytics.  Even if music is not chosen for a playlist, Spotify will use the submission information for personalized recommendations.  Visit Spotify to learn more.
