Have you ever noticed that even when you use hashtags your “likes” only come from people who follow you? It could be because your post or posts have been “Shadowbanned'“. A shadowban is when Instagram limits the reach of your post within hashtags, making it only visible to people who already follow you (thus defeating the entire purpose of using hashtags in the first place). Shadowbanning can occur if you repeatedly use the same hashtags or included a banned Instagram hashtag. To avoid this, switch up the hashtags that you use to allow your posts to visible to people who follow/browse hashtags.
